Job Description
Applies medical nursing knowledge attained through hands-on experience and/or formal education to assist veterinarians in clinical setting, providing support for a variety of animal health care needs. Prepares treatment room for examination of animals, and holds or restrains animals during examination, treatment, or inoculation. Administers injections, performs venipunctures, applies wound dressings, cleans teeth, and takes vital signs of animal, under minimal supervision. Prepares patient, medications, and equipment for surgery, and hands instruments and materials to veterinarian during surgical procedures. Performs routine laboratory tests. May assist veterinarian with emergent or specialized patient care. State-recognized veterinary technician credential (CVT, LVT, or RVT) with credential in good standing required.
- The base hourly range for this position is $20- $27. Our pay ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
