Job Description

Central Veterinary Associates is currently seeking licensed veterinary technicians for our 24 hour hospital in Valley Stream, NY. Our ideal candidate will be compassionate, hard working, and quick thinking. We prefer experience but are willing to mentor the right candidate.

Each of our technicians is accompanied by an assistant and works closely with our veterinarians and kennel staff to achieve a high level of service for our patients. Our technicians focus solely on patient care and have very minimal client interaction. We are currently looking for techs for our Morning shifts (7am-3pm) Evening shifts (3pm-11p) &  overnight (11PM-7AM) .

Tech duties include but are not limited to:

·         Diagnostics (Radiographs, ECG, Blood Pressure, Venipuncture)

·         Placing IV Catheters

·         Administering treatments

·         Assisting and monitoring patients during surgery

·         Providing emergency and critical care to patients

·         Maintaining accurate medical records
