Job Description

SportsVet Animal Medical Center is seeking a full-time Animal Caretaker.

This position provides overall care to our animals being boarded for both short-term and long-term stays.

The role includes cleaning of cages and runs, feeding, walking, and exercising dogs, as well as the care of cats. You will also be responsible for administering oral medications, giving baths, interacting in play times, observing how dogs and cats are doing throughout their stay, and recording detailed information in electronic medical records.

Full-Time

Shifts are variable: AM and PM available, Monday through Friday 7am to 3pm available. 

Must be available to fill in for some for weekends and some holidays

Desired experience and skills:

·         Previous experience working in a boarding facility is a plus, but we can train the right canditate. 

·   

   Ability to stand for long periods of time. 

Able to lift 50 pounds. 

·         Ability to clean and maintain kennels, cages, and runs

·         Organized and detail-oriented 

·         Strong communication and client service skills; ability to work with clients and patients in a professional, friendly manner

Compensation: Starts at $15.50 and increases with experience.
