Emergency Veterinarian - Ethos ER Immerse Mentorship Program – Grand Terrace, California

Animal Emergency Clinic is seeking veterinarians passionate about working in emergency medicine for our 6-month training and mentorship program. We are looking for individuals who are team oriented, driven, reflective, and reliable to train with us and transition into an ER position.

AEC is an AAHA-accredited emergency hospital that’s been serving the community since 1974. In 2017, we opened a modern, 10,000 sq. ft. facility built specifically for emergency care.

We offer:

• Full in-house diagnostic laboratory
• Anesthesiology and monitoring equipment
• Radiography, ultrasound suite, and therapeutic laser
• A highly collaborative, compassionate nursing team

We currently operate overnight on weekdays (6pm–8am) and 24 hours on weekends, with a goal of becoming a 24/7 emergency hospital. 

The Ethos ER Immerse Training Program

The ER Immerse Program will prepare veterinarians for a sustainable and satisfying career in emergency medicine. Built from the ground up to be different than traditional rotating internship programs, the ERi program has been developed around a curriculum of core competencies essential for an emergency veterinarian. In addition to providing training around clinical knowledge and skills, the program also includes a focus on client and team member communication, professional skills, and life/work integration.  

The ER Immerse program utilizes a hybrid training approach incorporating simulation-based didactic components into authentic training experiences with live patients. The curriculum is designed using an evidence-based strategy identifying competencies and skills deemed essential for a successful career as an emergency clinician.

Program Duration/Commitment

• 6-month training program beginning or after September 2026
• 1-year commitment as an ER clinician at our hospital following training

Program Highlights

• 4-day work week consisting of 3 clinical days and 1 didactic day

• Regular live continuing education events led by specialists and experienced emergency doctors
• Compensation during mentee period equates to $125,000 annualized salary and moves to $165,000 with 25% production post-training period
