Our commitment
We’re committed to progressive and compassionate care, narrowing the health gap with wellness plans, veterinary dentistry and fear-free healthcare experiences for patients and their families. We’re committed to the profession, supporting future veterinarian leaders with mentoring to further their skills and elevate care, helping DVMs overcome student debt and supporting veterinarians’ well-being.
The NVA Founder’s Story
Our founder, Dr. Stan Creighton, knows the veterinarian profession inside and out— because, well, he is one.
And we trust that you get it, too—that’s why you’ve dedicated your life to a love of animals and patient care. NVA and EVH want to give you the autonomy to do your work your way, along with the support to help you do your work even better. That means resources, information, equipment, and whole-person support that lets you focus on your passion for animals.
General Practice
No one cares for or about pets like you do.
You have a deep love for pets, a passion for caring, knowledge that only comes from experience, and patients and families who trust you. Why would we want to change that? NVA doesn’t want to turn you into us—we want to support you in being you.
Specialty
Do what you do best, as only you know how to do it.
Not every vet has the training, experience, or passion to do what you do. You’ve got something special—and we want that something special at EVH. We want to give you the resources and opportunities to stay on the cutting edge of your specialty. We want to be your partner for growth. And we want to take care of you—all of you, the doctor and the person—so you can take care of your patients, the way you do it best.
ER/Urgent Care
You’re there whenever a pet needs you.
That means we are, too.
You’re a special kind of veterinarian. You see some of the toughest cases, at the toughest times, under the toughest circumstances—all without getting tough yourself. When a patient comes to you, you’re their last hope. We want to help.
New Grads
This is what you’ve been training for your entire life.
ou worked long and hard to become a veterinarian because you have a love of animals and a passion for healing. We understand that—that love and that passion are what make NVA and EVH what we are. We want to help you put that passion into action, providing opportunities for mentorship and development in an environment that isn’t just a practice—it’s a community to grow with and learn from. Whether your dreams point you toward a large hospital or a small one, huge patients or tiny ones, preventive medicine or emergency care, there’s an NVA or EVH hospital that needs the kind of veterinarian you know you want to be.
Equine
The biggest patients need the doctor with the biggest heart.
Your equine patients don’t just need heavy-duty equipment and a doctor with specialized training—they need a special doctor, with a passion for horses and for healing. We need people like you to make the veterinary field better. You have a big job, and we want to help you do it well.
