JOB TITLE: Sr. Investigator, Team Member Relations
REPORTS TO: Director, Team Member Relations

BRIEF JOB SUMMARY: The Sr. Investigator, Team Member Relations plays a critical role in fostering a positive work environment, resolving employee issues, and ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws. This role requires a proactive individual who can handle complex employee relations matters while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism. 

Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as one of the first points of contact for team members, managers & People Business Partners regarding complex team member relations issues, including complaints, performance management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
• Investigate and resolve complex team member complaints in a fair and timely manner.
• Partner with Team Member Relations Specialists or Sr. Specialists on investigation strategy, providing thought partnership on approach and recommended outcomes.
• Support the Director and Sr. Manager as needed with implemention, management, and oversight of team member relations program.
• Provide guidance to managers and People Business Partners on handling sensitive employee relations matters, ensuring consistency with company policies and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as company policies.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and communication of team member relations policies and procedures.
• Support the Director and Sr. Manager as needed in conducting audits and ensuring adherence to labor laws and company standards.
• Mediate and resolve workplace conflicts, facilitating discussions between team members and management to reach amicable solutions.
• Provide coaching and guidance to managers and People team members on conflict resolution techniques and strategies.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of team member relations cases, investigations, and outcomes.
• Prepare reports and analyze trends related to team member relations issues, making recommendations for improvements where necessary.
• Partner with our Talent Management team to assist in design and delivery of training for People Leaders on topics such as conflict resolution, performance management, and company policies.
• Stay current on team member relations trends and best practices, sharing knowledge with the broader People team and people leaders.
• Collaborate with other members of the People and Legal teams on inter-departmental issues and special projects, as assigned.


Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
• Minimum of 7-10 years of employee relations experience, a majority of which primarily investigating complex matters such as discrimination, harassment, and retaliation concerns in the human or animal health care industries; people leadership experience strongly preferred (informal leadership may be substituted where appropriate)
• Demonstrated ability to assist in implementing and upholding employee relations strategies that align with NVA GP’s goals
• Experience in a multi-location organization in healthcare, veterinary services, or a similar industry
• Working knowledge of HR laws and regulations, including FMLA, FLSA, ADA, EEO, and other federal, state, and local employment laws
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely
• Proven ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization
• Experience in creating proactive solutions to employee relations problems and resolving disputes effectively and efficiently
• Experience in assisting with complex employee relations issues and conducting workplace investigations
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and diplomacy
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment
• High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills
• Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Compensation: The base salary range is $108,000-135,000 with opportunity for an annual incentive plan.
