Rate of Pay:                 $82,909.00 to $173,400.00 per year

Duties: Clinical practice in the area of Veterinary Internal Medicine: Perform physical examinations and diagnostic/medical procedures that deliver the highest quality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort. Maintain client/patient medical/surgical records and make certain all necessary logs are kept up-to-date through established protocols. Communicate with clients on topics such as pet diagnosis, treatment plans, and nutritional needs. Support area practices with the highest quality emergency and referral service, while recognizing the importance of the bond between the client and the referring veterinarian. Build rapport with clients by gathering information and listening to, and empathizing with their concerns. Have the vision and ability to embrace the rapidly expanding field of veterinary medicine through the utilization of highly trained emergency staff and referral specialists, continued education, and state-of-the-art equipment. Assist with the training of interns and residents as indicated by practice, under the guidance of the Medical Director. Stay current on new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine. Maintain active board certification status. Assist in the development of the paraprofessional team to ensure delivery of the highest quality care and exceptional client service. Present a positive image of the hospital in the professional community and to the general public.

Requirements: Must have a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree (or foreign degree equivalent) or equivalent related degree.

Licenses: Must have DVM licensure in good standing to practice in the state in which applicant is to be employed and must be DACVIM certified or eligible
